Show Notes:

Perimenopause can feel confusing, frustrating, and honestly… a little unfair when no one warned you what was coming.

One minute you’re managing life just fine, and the next you’re wondering why your sleep is off, your moods feel unpredictable, your body feels different, and your doctor is telling you everything looks “normal.” Sound familiar?

In this episode of Living Life Naturally, Lynne Wadsworth welcomes Chelsea Jambo, founder of OURbody, a women’s wellness tea brand focused on functional, great-tasting herbal blends designed to support women through hormonal transitions.

Chelsea shares her personal journey into women’s wellness after struggling with painful menstrual symptoms and feeling dissatisfied with the usual “take something and push through” approach. That experience led her to explore herbal support, natural wellness, and the importance of helping women feel validated in every stage of their hormonal journey.

Together, Lynne and Chelsea talk about why perimenopause is still so misunderstood, why many women feel “too young” to be experiencing hormonal changes, and how open conversations between women can help remove the shame, fear, and confusion around this normal life stage.

They also discuss how herbal teas may help support symptoms such as hot flashes, mood changes, stress, sleep struggles, and hormonal shifts — while being very clear that herbal support is not a magic cure. Instead, herbs may help “lighten the load” and become part of a supportive daily ritual.

Chelsea also shares examples of herbs often used during perimenopause and menopause, including lemon balm, ginger root, lavender, sage, red clover, ashwagandha, St. John’s wort, holy basil, nettle, and elderflower.

This conversation is a beautiful reminder that women deserve better than being dismissed, rushed, or told to simply “deal with it.” Perimenopause and menopause are normal stages of life, but that doesn’t mean women should have to struggle through them unsupported.

And as always, please read the disclaimer and check with your qualified healthcare provider before adding herbs, teas, or supplements to your routine — especially if you take medications or have an existing health condition.

  • Why perimenopause is often misunderstood or dismissed
