How do you start your day?

If you’ve been getting up earlier so you can enjoy some introspective time or dedicate the first morning hour to your physical or mental health, then you’ve probably discovered the secret of the Miracle Morning.

Successful people have figured out that getting control of their morning routine reduces their stress level and sets up the day for productivity as well as increased happiness.

When you practice a morning ritual, you’re more likely to have a more positive attitude and yes, you can be excited and look forward to what YOUR day has to offer.

Here’s how you too can utilize this strategy, take the ‘hectic’ out of your morning and start the day off right:

Start Slowly

Woman Taking Time Getting out of Bed

When you wake up, there’s no reason to jump up and start doing things immediately. In fact, instant activity can harshly shock your system.

Instead, take a few minutes for some self-care.

Before you actually get out of bed, take some time for some deep breathing. Check in with your body, feel the breath inflating your lungs. Even though you’re breathing in and out every day of your life, breathing correctly still takes focused and deliberate effort until it becomes natural. It’s easy to forget about the rewards that you can gain from something as simple as breathing.

Rather than rushing to get ready, take a few minutes to enjoy some light activity like gentle stretching or yoga. Give your body a chance to begin circulating your blood.

Next, take your time getting your favorite drink of the day and then maybe sit outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Take some time to journal in the mornings, set up your day with a few things you need to get done, or recognize a few things you’re grateful for that day.

Starting your day with gratitude practice is life-changing

When it comes to good health and happiness and finding more balance of mind, body, and soul, self-care plays an important role. Make self-care a priority every day by starting your day with a few things that support your mental and physical health.

Schedule your morning routine right into your calendar. And most importantly, don’t let other things get in the way. You ARE a priority and you deserve a long and healthy life.

Our best chances for success in anything we do occurs when we’re feeling our best. We thrive when we’re happy. We excel when we’re stress-free. We radiate positivity when we’re creating and living the life we love – and to achieve all that along with all the other balls you’re keeping in the air, I recommend a Miracle Morning Ritual that includes your daily self-care practice.

Now it’s your turn…

  • What will you incoporate into your morning?
  • How can you make time for getting in your Miracle Morning Ritual?
  • What kind of self-care goes with your personality that will enhance this experience?

I’d love to know.
