About Beth Sandlin:

Beth Sandlin, NCPT, brings over two decades of expertise as a Pilates teacher and founder of Trifecta Pilates. A survivor of cancer at 20, Beth’s journey into Pilates was transformed by her personal challenges, leading her to develop a trauma-informed approach to Pilates. Her mission is to make Pilates accessible, focusing on integrity, support, education, and empowerment. Beth’s approach is about harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit, particularly beneficial during the transformative mid-life phase.

Beth explains how Pilates can benefit mental health, reducing stress and even lowering dementia risk. She encourages a flexible, seasonal approach to exercise that adapts to different life stages and energy levels, rather than rigidly sticking to a single routine. Developing self-compassion and using our life experience as wisdom are also key.

For women new to or returning to exercise, Beth advises starting with consistency over intensity – even just 10 minutes per day can be a great foundation. She recommends a blend of strengthening, mobility, and restorative work, and gradually increasing intensity as the body adapts. The focus should be on what you can do consistently, not perfection.
