We discuss how the fitness industry has perpetuated harmful myths about women’s bodies, such as the idea that they should stay the same shape throughout life. We highlight the lack of education and resources around topics like perimenopause, and the need to shift the cultural narrative to be more accepting and supportive of women’s natural bodily changes.
We emphasize the importance of avoiding comments on people’s bodies and instead focusing on praising their character, actions, and strengths. They encourage women to stop expending so much energy on things that don’t truly matter, and to instead prioritize feeling good and developing self-acceptance.
