Daina Rasutis is a Nutrition Therapist helping clients get to the root cause of their symptoms with a focus on improving gut health. From Civil Engineer to Nutrition Therapist Master, Daina utilizes her science background to run functional testing and implement a bio-individualized approach to nutrition.

As the founder of Table to Crave, Daina does not practice a one-size-fits-all approach to health. She utilizes customized diet, lifestyle and supplements to improve her clients’ digestive issues and skin conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis. Daina has transformed her own life and her clients’ lives by researching the best health practices to create effective holistic nutrition programs.

Daina recommends bone broth, fermented foods, and a variety of plant foods like berries, spices, onions and garlic to feed gut bacteria. She emphasizes consuming 30 types of plants weekly for microbiome diversity.

Daina stresses using high-quality probiotic supplements and warned against cheap brands with unknown strains. She also suggests digestive enzymes to aid nutrient absorption for those experiencing digestive issues.

Daina has seen many women under-consuming protein which increases in importance with age. She advises focusing on protein quality and sources at each meal to support muscle and bone health during midlife.

Daina notes hormone changes could trigger new digestive problems in some women. She recommends identifying sensitivities and addressing potential imbalances through testing if dietary tweaks alone don’t resolve issues like constipation or diarrhea.

Daina’s top suggestion is slowing down mealtimes, fully chewing food to allow proper digestion and minimize stress on the gut. She frames eating as an opportunity to meditatively nourish the body.
