About Laura Folkes:

For over 7 years, Laura has helped transform over 100 clients’ relationships with food. She is a certified facilitator of the research-based Truce with Food process, which helps clients achieve sustainable results without feeling deprived.

Her own journey towards experiencing a truce with food and 60-pound weight loss led her to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach. Laura supports her clients to figure out why they know what they should be eating but can’t stick with it to get to the bottom of why they self-sabotage and fall off track.

She lives in Chicago with her Aussie husband and her black cat, Katie.

In this episode we discuss how out-of-control eating is really a form of protection, and how transitions and feelings of being out of control in different areas of life can lead to feeling out of control with food/eating.
