If you are anything like me, you are probably thinking about what to do right now with all this chaos happening. You may be obsessing over it, or you may just be scared or panicky.

So…. I want to share something personal with you – to help.

I live in Florida as did my in-laws when they are still alive. So we have seen many scary situations here – people being hit hard by hurricanes. We ourselves have had our property damaged badly twice and had to rebuild our home in the panhandle twice. It really makes you think when you are in the midst of such damage and chaos. Then 2 years ago, we were in the eye of the hurricane here in the Tampa Bay area. We were so blessed that time with a lot less damage than we could have had. The people south of us were not so lucky. My initial reactions were panic, fear, and anxiety. I think you can relate to that in the situation we find ourselves in now.

But let’s be realistic. Giving in to those fears makes us feel out of control and paralyzed in our day-to-day life. Now is the time for us to stand strong, pray, and band together – even when we cannot do it face to face.

Right now, things seem really bad. And let’s face it. It is. There’s a global pandemic, an uncertain economy, and everywhere you look there is more bad news.
I know you’re worried about your loved ones, friends, co-workers and of course, yourself.

During a time of illness, fear, and struggle, you need to know exactly what you need to do to “keep your sanity” as well as building up your immune system. We all need to be proactive.

I’ll admit that:

  • I have felt scared.
  • I have panicked over the panic and uncertainty as we watched the stock market drop.
  • I started to feel sick.
  • I’ve cried.
  • I’ve felt the sadness of others.
  • I’m sad because my granddaughter is in her senior year and it is up in the air about graduation and college.
  • I’m sad because our big vacation of a lifetime has had to be canceled
  • I’m devastated for my family in England who have lost all their work and are self-employed with no government help
  • My sleep hasn’t been so great
  • My headaches have increased
  • I’m sad that my family and friends are being affected by this “war” on a virus

So what have I done for myself? Well, below are some of the things I keep reminding myself to engage in. These are also some of the things you can do.

  1. Go for a run or walk.
  2. Breathe.
  3. Support your immune system (Vitamin C, Lysine, Lauricidian, Zinc, elderberry syrup, OnGuard, and herbal teas [Dr. Morse Heal All Tea and Essiac Tea].
  4. Support your digestive health (Kombucha, Inner-eco, Probiotics).
  5. Relaxation mediation.
  6. Mindset – listen to podcasts that are encouraging and uplifting.
  7. Listen to uplifting Christian music.
  8. Take care of the liver with good things like chlorophyll, lemon water, spirulina, and barley grass.
  9. Use essential oils, herbs, and homeopathy.
  10. Sweat – exercise, Epsom salt baths (and if I had a sauna, you can be sure I would be using it.

This is how I am trying to handle my stress. But to be honest, two nights this week, I have reached for the peanuts more than I should.

During these trying times, it is my desire to help you. We are in this together. We can pray for one another. We can reach out to each other (even though not in person). We can do random acts of kindness.

One thing that is uppermost on my mind to help you is through my private Facebook group for women, I am starting a series of uplifting helpful challenges and informative series’ to help you relax, keep yourself occupied and focusing on something other than our predicament, and things that have a more positive effect on your life. And, of course, I am there to answer your questions or point you in the right direction, support you and encourage you on your journey.

So ladies, come and join us in our group. We would love to have you as part of our community. This is a productive way to help you through the next weeks plus there will be some free gifts.
