Tips & Resources
Is What You Are Eating Giving You A Migraine?
One of the most useful remedies for reducing migraine involves a change to your diet. Certainly for me, that has been the case. After suffering almost daily with migraines ranging anywhere from a 4 to a 9 on the pain scale, one of the biggest life changes I made was to my diet. This resulted in a drastic change to my migraine patterns. Make no mistake though, it wasn’t just about the food. Certainly there were other natural life changes I made that helped produce today’s result. However, certain foods have been shown to affect the frequency and severity of migraines and migraine pain.
How to Get Past a Bad Junk Food Day
If you are trying to eat healthily, there are a few things you either will realize, or already have. First, it is no longer about low fat and low carbs – this simplistic equation just won’t cut it. Nutrition is every bit a science, so it is important that you understand it first. It is crucial that you let go of false beliefs, stop trusting the myths, and quit counting calories.
The second thing is that it is not about eating certain things and avoiding eating others; it is about a lifestyle change. When you decide to eat clean, healthy, natural foods and remove things that do not help get you where you want to be, you make a pledge to yourself that you will do things that will help in the long-term and make you feel good inside, instead of giving you short-term highs and lows.
Quick Lunch Options for Your Work Week
For a great majority, lunchtime can be a real challenge when you want to keep your food choices healthy. There are tantalizing treats scattered throughout your office break room and your desk is in close proximity to the vending machines or break room, causing you to be even more easily tempted.
By now, you know that I am a huge proponent for pre-planning and batch cooking. Why? Mostly because if I didn’t have the healthy foods ready to go, I would much more easily succumb to the temptation of sweets and unhealthy options surrounding me. But, when I have the good, healthy options available to me and ready to go, I am much more likely to achieve success.
Let’s face it, temptation surrounds you and can veer you off of your path quickly, leaving you feeling disappointed and defeated. To avoid these negative feelings, it’s crucial to be proactive about your meals for the work week.
