For many who suffer with migraines, what we want in that moment of pain is a “quick fix.” We want to get rid of that nagging or sometimes desperate pain we are experiencing.
For some of us, we don’t even know what our migraine triggers are – or we may know some but not all. Do you find yourself craving for savory or sweet snacks like I do?Cravings happen even to the healthiest of us. I can definitely attest to that. The worst time for me is in the early evening after I have dinner. It’s not even that I am hungry – just that I want something to snack on!
Often, when a craving hits in the afternoon or the evening after dinner, we do get the urge to snack. Snacking can be a bad habit to get into, because the snacks we choose are often junky, un-nutritious, and high in calories, sugar, or fat.
The trick to snacking without piling on the pounds is to find healthy alternatives to the regular snacks you might normally reach for.
