10 Steps for Dealing With Sugar Addiction
Most people eat way too much sugar (myself included for many, many years). In this blog we will discuss 10 steps for dealing with sugar addiction. I know these simple ideas have helped me in my own life. Think about what a day might look like when it comes to sugar additives in our lives. Many of us eat sweet cereal for breakfast – in addition to sweetened juice. When you think of packing lunches for children, they might include a fruit roll-up or candy with a sandwich, and with dinner they often drink lots of soda or other sugary drinks. Dessert might be ice cream or cookies. That’s a lot of sugar per day!
Sugar may give you a lot of energy at first, and then comes the “sugar crash” and you end up feeling really tired and cranky – and here’s the worst part – you find yourself always wanting more sugar. Some people even get headaches or feel sick from eating sugar.

Probably when you have a migraine, one of the last things you are thinking about is exercise, right? In fact, when you have a migraine, you probably feel like hiding from the world and sleeping the day away. As a migraine sufferer, this is often the “norm” for you, and actually, if you have the time, a good long nap may be one of the best options for you. In my own experience, I have found that sometimes a migraine will go away more quickly with a little extra sleep.

How Hormones Affect Your Energy & Weight
Let’s talk about how hormones affect your energy and weight. Are willpower and self-control the real solution to low energy and high weight?
Maybe not.
It might actually be your (powerful) hormones.
And we’re not just talking about sex hormones here; we’re talking about the hormones that directly affect your blood sugar, metabolism, and appetite. Things that actually control your energy and weight.
Maybe your hormones are a little off balance due to your menstrual cycle or peri-menopause, menopause, etc. I know hormones have had an effect on my weight and energy levels over the years….and definitely as I got into my forties and I saw that belly begin to grow in size! Can you relate? It’s the pits, isn’t it? You feel you have no control over your life!
7 Migraine Prevention Hacks ?
Does this sound like your life? …… Another weekend with more canceled plans. So let’s check out 7 migraine prevention hacks this week.
For those who suffer with frequent migraines, you know this one all too well. But did you know that when you have a “big event” planned, sometimes that can bring on big Migraine attacks.
According to the National Headache Foundation, “strong emotions are one of the many triggers that can bring on a Migraine attack (1).” You might wonder why—but sometimes even preparation for the event can cause anxiety, worry and stress— sometimes it’s the emotion itself that can bring on the attack.
It is so difficult when you miss out on the fun stuff and the social events you’ve been planning—maybe even for weeks. As a migraine sufferer, it’s very stressful when you can’t even fully commit to friends and family, and you are always afraid that a migraine is looming on the horizon.
Ways to Use Aloe for Weight Loss
In this blog, we’re talking about ways to use aloe for weight loss. If you are like me you are often looking for natural simple ways to aid with weight loss or weight maintenance. I love being healthy and at my ideal weight, but sometimes it can be a struggle. I want to pass on valuable information to you that will help you to add a little “oomph” to your daily regimen.
Weight loss is one of the most difficult things that many people take on in their lives. I have found that to be so true for me – especially years ago when I was skipping from one fad diet to another, and trying one program after another. It has become extremely important to me to stay healthy, be a healthy weight, and maximize my energy and overall health. But what I’ve learned is that it isn’t about a “diet.” All that does really is get us into a “diet mode” that causes us to go up and down in our weight and not maintain a healthy lifestyle that will keep us on a healthy path for the rest of our lives.
Looking for Fast Pain Relief?
If you are looking for fast pain relief, here are some ideas.
In the days when I was dealing with daily pain (and wanted to bang my head against a brick wall), I would try anything to try to lessen the pain. I am sure you feel that way as well.
When dealing with Migraine, we definitely know that this is not just another headache—as many non-migraine sufferers seems to think.
Most of us also know that for many migraine sufferers, common pain relievers like aspirin, ibuprofen, and acetaminophen don’t do much for migraine pain. Oftentimes, if these medicines do work, the pain might only lessen for a few hours before the migraine comes back with a vengeance.
If that’s you, let’s talk about some natural ways to treat migraine pain that can be surprisingly effective.
Kiss Those Cravings Goodbye!
Wish you could kiss those cravings goodbye?
I’m certainly no stranger to the occasional urge to rip open a chocolate bar, go through the drive-thru window, or dive into a bag of my favorite chips — and I’ll bet you aren’t a stranger to this either. In fact, I know I have shared with you before, my total obsession with sweets and all things chocolate.
Unfortunately, in my own life, this led me down a slippery slope to where I was so hooked on the chocolate that I would hide my “stash” and then go and hide in the bedroom to eat it — and a lot more than I should. I would be so disgusted with myself afterwards that I would determine that I just wasn’t going to do it any more….and when the cravings came back the next day, I would tell myself I was just going to have a few pieces. But that just didn’t work for me! Yes, I am a full-blown chocoholic! (Can you relate?) For the most part, I am good with this now. However, I am always aware of the fact that it would be so easy to slip back into that unhealthy pattern of binging.
The occasional indulgence isn’t anything to be alarmed about, and for many people, they can eat a little and be satisfied. But if you find yourself licking the remnants of these indulgences off your fingers on a more regular basis, you’ll need to practice some control to get in charge of those cravings. The goal here is to be in charge of your cravings, not have them be in charge of you.
3 Easy Steps to Weight Loss, Energy and More
In this blog, we are going to talk about why digestion is so important to your health, and how it can help you with weight loss as well as having an energized life and even balanced sugar.
I learned the hard way years ago all about unhealthy digestion. It started with an hiatal hernia and then I was plagued with irritable bowel syndrome, had to have my gallbladder our, and then I ended up with really bad GERD plus that [unspeakable] constipation problem. My stomach was continually bloated and energy was something that – well let’s just say – it certainly was NOT abundant in my life.
I just never realized the overall effect a bad “gut” can have on your whole body. One I started delving into living a healthier lifestyle combined with going to college at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I learned that by changing the way I eat and changing up my lifestyle, I could “rock it” in the energy department, plus feel like a million bucks. It was incredible to realize what I had been missing out on all of those years…..and even more, I realized I had wasted thousands of dollars over the years investing in different weight loss programs and trying all those fad diets that just didn’t get me anywhere in the long run.
The Best Anti-Inflammatory Foods to Help You Find Relief
The Best Ani-Inflammatory Foods to Help You Find Relief:
Inflammation is your body’s way of protecting you from harmful stimuli or potential injury. Inflammation can appear in many forms, including pain, heat, swelling, redness, and a slowing down or complete halt of an organ’s function
As you know, even with headaches and migraines, inflammation is something you battle frequently. There are certain foods I add to my diet that help with prevention of the inflammation to lower my risk of migraine triggers.
Inflammation may be either acute or chronic. Acute inflammation is the initial protective response of your body tissues and is most likely to be transient. Chronic inflammation, on the other hand, is prolonged and can become severe.
