It’s a big milestone for us as migraine sufferers to get through Christmas, New Year, and other holidays without those dreaded migraines ruining our plans. I would love to know how you fared through the holidays. Just hit comment below and let me know how you fared through the holidays.

So, are there any dietary treatments for migraines? Absolutely.

As I have mentioned on several occasions, dietary changes have been the most successful thing in my “migraine life” to change my migraine frequency and pain. Dietary changes have had the biggest effect on my migraines and overall health. I cannot tell people often enough how just small changes can have a BIG impact on their migraine patterns.

Do you know what your food triggers are? There are many of them and, of course, each one of us reacts differently to certain foods. While cheese, for example, may be a trigger for me, it may not necessarily be a trigger for you. Regardless of what your food triggers are, if you can pin down your specific food triggers, you will have a lot more success in controlling and/or preventing your migraines.

No doubt you are familiar with the most common food triggers such as cheese, processed foods, foods containing tyramine like lunch meat, sausage, etc., and wines such as red wine, and chocolate.

It’s funny. Sometimes you can eat a food that you know triggers a migraine for you, but other times you can eat that same food and not be troubled with a migraine. It is a very odd thing. I think that it can also depend on other factors in your life as well, as to how you are affected by certain triggers. Maybe you have had plenty of exercise to work off stress and feel stronger and healthier, and probably you have had good, adequate, quality sleep and so your stress levels are lower, and you are more energetic. Many factors can be involved when it comes to food triggers and how we react to them. Again, that’s where a food diary and migraine journal can be so helpful. Keeping track and then seeing what has affected you and what was going on at the time can most certainly be a key to less migraines in your life.

Again, as we go into 2017, my passion and commitment to you is to help you achieve a more migraine-free existence. I have accomplished it in my own life, and know it is possible for you too. I have learned so much and have a deep desire to share that knowledge with you so that you can have a life-changing (migraine-changing) experience. Is 2017 going to be your breakthrough year? I know it can be.

I am so excited to be able to share with you that I have several things “in the works” with you in mind.

One is that I am in the process of writing a new book that will expand on my “The Ultimate Migraine Handbook: An Holistic Approach to Migraine Relief.” This expanded and revised version will give you a “Migraine Diet,” listing different foods and recipes for you to enjoy that are migraine-relieving and migraine-preventing. Just keep watching and I will keep you updated. Although I am in the process of writing it, it will take a little while to get it published. In the meantime, the book I do have published does give lots of information on dietary solutions and natural remedies for migraines. You can check that out on my Website at https://holistic-healthandwellness.com/ultimate-migraine-handbook/.

In the meantime, on January 19th I will be “issuing a challenge” to you. This will be a 5-day challenge where I will show you some of the foods to eat, and give you some great recipes, to teach you ways to eat that will “migraine-proof” your life. This challenge will give you a taste of how you can implement dietary changes to revolutionize your own “migraine life.” If you want to know how to alter the pathway to relieve you of many of your migraines, then I hope you will join me – and I hope you will pass this along to friends and family. This will be a game-changer for you – the benefits of implementing dietary changes are a real “migraine game-changer.” (See below for more information.)

As we go into yet another new year, remember to eat and drink sensibly so as not to trigger migraines. Get enough sleep, and keep well hydrated. Keep a migraine journal and food diary. These are just some of the basics for sensible migraine prevention.
I hope and pray that your 2017 will be a new adventure for your own migraine-healing journey.
In love and health,

Lynne
